What these numbers are — and are not

Tracking started 2026-09-03. Channels are polled minute-by-minute; every metric on this page is derived from valid raw observations only.
Observed Current Viewers is the sum of measured concurrent viewers across live channels with public viewer telemetry — not total market audience. Status-only platforms (e.g. Twitch) are live-audience unknowns, never counted as zero.
Invalidated observations (e.g. the 2026-09-07/08 fal.live identity contamination) are excluded from all derived metrics; raw rows are preserved for audit.
Daily audience concentration uses viewer-minutes, not point-in-time snapshots. Current-snapshot concentration and daily concentration are different metrics and labeled separately.
Dataset expansion (newly tracked pre-existing channels) is not market growth: the 7-day tables above show new/delisted channel counts per day, and trend comparisons exclude coverage expansion effects.
Delisted-at-source channels are quarantined from minute polling and excluded from coverage denominators by design.
